Today I found a white-striped WHITE-THROATED SPARROW near the High School in Shoshone, CA.  A flock of Cedar Waxwings was "downtown" while another individual preferred the company of starlings near the school.

At Grimshaw Lake I was a little surprised to see a CATTLE EGRET.  An AMERICAN AVOCET was at Death Valley Junction.

China Ranch had a few interesting things like half a dozen robins, about 8 Western Bluebirds, 16+ Cedar Waxwings, an Orange-crowned Warlber, and 2 CASSIN'S FINCHES.  Tecopa had a couple of additional W. Bluebirds.

This afternoon I again saw the WHITE-THROATED SPARROW in Shoshone with a female SLATE-COLORED JUNCO, a Red-naped Sapcuker, numerous waxwings and robins, and a Wilson's Snipe on a residential lawn near the high school.  3 SNOW GEESE were at S. Grimshaw Lake, south of Tecopa hot Springs.
