New England F18 Sailors
Please be sure to join or re-join the US F18 class before the season starts. http://www.naf18.com/wordpress/membership/join-renew/
As most of you know the US spots for the 2012 Wolrds in Long Beach will be allocated by the US ranking system. Boats that are not members do not count toward the ranking. That means that you don’t get your points if you’re not a member. If I am reading it correctly it also means that your competitors will get less points because the total boat count (counted only by members) will be less.
More info on the ranking is at the following link. http://www.naf18.com/wordpress/info/f18-rankings/
Looking forward to a great season, Bob |
Thanks Bob. Just to clarify one of your points, the way I understand the rules is that only F18 fleet members receive points for the event, but the total points that are handed out at the event is based on the total number of boats. Given the high turnout that we get at almost all our events, sailors from the north east generally place high in the rankings.
