Hey there GOOD BEER Fans,

So, my pants are smoking a bit here...I told you there wasn't going to
be a July newsletter, but here we are. Why? My GOOD BEER Event
Calendar has just exploded in the last week or so, and I don't think
you'd forgive me if I let all these events go down without bringing
you into the loop. So, here they are - some you've seen before, but
LOTS of new ones - plus a couple quick beer updates tucked in
afterward:

GOOD BEER EVENTS:
July 3 (as in THIS MORNING!): Watch for East End Brew to show up on
Pittsburgh's "KDKA Live" show sometime between 9 and 10am, with Max
from the Warhol talking about summer beverages, including of course,
Monkey Boy Hefeweizen. Playing along at home is encouraged, GOOD BEER
sold separately.
July 10: EEBC Night at the Warhol: $20 bucks gets you beer, light
snacks and museum access from 5:30-7:30. Call 412-237-8300 or just
show up.
July 10: "File under Pop" is Wayno's new show opening at the Zombo
Gallery in Lawrenceville with lots of East End Beer to be had. See
www.Wayno.com for art info, www.ZomboWorld.com for gallery info. I
hope you already know where to find the beer info.
July 18: "A Midsummer Night's STREAM" in Frick Park. Live Music, Food
from Point Brugge, Beer from EEBC. Tickets at http://www.ninemilerun.org/
July 23: Meet the Farmers @ Enrico Biscotti Co. Do you know where your
food comes from? Keep it local with GOOD BEER and great food! Tickets
at 412-281-2602.
July 27: Beer Dinner at the Springfield Grille in Mars, featuring 5
East End Beers paired with 5 courses. Call 724-778-8700 for tickets
(Enjoy this one - I'll miss it!)
July 30: Beer Dinner at Rock Bottom: EEBC does one beer/course
pairing, the rest are by RB Brewer, Steve Panos. Call 412-462-2739 for

Aug 7: Beer Passport Night @ PNC Park: Now ticketing through the

Aug 20: Hold the date for a possible Beer Dinner at Green Gables
Restaurant... Details TBD.
Sept 12: Steel City Big Pour (got the date right this time):

fest of the year, great food, well run, and like last year, we'll be
debuting a custom brewed "Big Pour Brew" that day.
Sept 18: Hold the date for an evening of GOOD BEER and great food (or
as they say ":heavy appetizers") from Enrico's... on the water!

Sept 25: Beer Passport Night @ PNC Park: Now ticketing through the
Pirate Box Office 1-800-BUY-BUCS.
Sept 30: Local Foods Beer Dinner at Harris Grill: Call now and ask why
they don't have the tickets ready yet 412-362-5273. Or maybe they do?

A FEW QUICK BEER UPDATES:
Big news at the ballpark: PNC has Big Hop AND Monkey Boy on tap now in
the Club Level. (Woo-hoo!) LOAF has officially LEFT the brewery,
Monkey Girl rides again starting now and for a limited time. Dark
Mild is the next to leave us - probably this weekend, with Snow Melt
Winter Ale replacing it for an even more limited time. (See, it really
is getting chilly!) The Kolsch will debut just as soon as one of
these replacements kicks. Homewood Reserve 2009 has completely sold
out, and I'm hoping their next release will take them "back to their
roots". Get it? Sold out?

Any time you have to say "Get it?", you know you should have taken
your ball and gone home...maybe even gone to sleep. So that's it
folks. Shortest newsletter of the year!

Have a great Independence Day weekend (yes of course we're open) and
I'll see you soon... and apparently more often than not over the next
couple months!
