Hi Minyan --

Big HiHo news! EB Minyan now has two ways to start the year with a clean slate: Join us for Kol Nidre services, and discard your sins on our virtual scapegoat. Read on for details:
Kol Nidre - Yom Kippur Evening (more info)
When: Friday, October 3, promptly at 6:20pm (doors at 6pm).
Where: Finnish Hall, 1970 Chestnut Street, Berkeley.
RSVP: Required! Please use this link.
Donation: Whatever amount feels comfortable and appropriate ($36 suggested).
What else? Stick around afterwards for a study session with David Kasher, Senior Rabbinic Educator at Kevah, on "The Joys of Self-Affliction" (or "Taking the Hard Road to God").
Meal? Interested in hosting or being someone's guest for a seudah mafseket (pre-fast meal)? Let us know!
Contact: Questions? Ideas? Overwhelming desire to help out? Reach us at koln...@eastbayminyan.org.

Virtual Scapegoat
Ever wanted to take your sins/regrets and throw them off a cliff? Now you can! Visit EB Minyan's dedicated eScapegoat page, take a brief guided walk through the desert, then offload your sins to a virtual goat. Everone's anonymous atonements will show up on our page.

Also coming up...
Sunday, October 12 - Sukkot gathering in Berkeley. (Details soon.)
Friday, November 7 - Kabbalat Shabbat and Community Potluck in Berkeley
Wishing everyone a sweet year. Shana tova!
