Shavuot and Shabbat

Hi Minyan --

We're taking July off, so be sure to get your Minyan on in June! EBM regulars Chaim Mahgel-Friedman and Shalom Bochner will be teaching at Tuesday's all-night Shavuot tikkun, and we're having "summer kickoff" Shabbat potlucks in Berkeley on Friday and two weeks later in Oakland. Details:

Community-wide Tikkun Leyl Shavuot (more info)
When: Tuesday, June 3, 6:15 PM until dawn
Where: JCC of the East Bay, 1414 Walnut Street, Berkeley
A unique community-wide celebration and night of Torah study, a spiritual journey bringing together Jews with varied perspectives and affiliations. Stay for an hour, or stay until dawn. We will be led in study by teachers from our diverse Jewish community. Celebrate Shavuot!

Kabbalat Shabbat and "Summer Kickoff" Potluck in Berkeley (more)
When: Friday, June 6, 7pm
Where: Finnish Hall, 1970 Chestnut Street, Berkeley
Services begin promptly at 7pm, and dinner follows! Come early for a L'chayim at 6:45--whiskey or juice provided! (We'd love your help for setup too.) Please bring vegetarian a dish to share … bonus points if can let us know in advance what you’re bringing. B'tei avon!

When: Friday, June 20, 7pm. (Come earlier to schmooze!)
Where: Baum Youth Center, 341 Macarthur Blvd, Oakland. (House with steps/porch. Directions here.)
