Meeting Tonight - Plan of Conservation and Development

Please be reminded that the second public meeting is scheduled for
Tuesday
June 24, 2008 at 5:30 PM at the Lincoln Middle School. Please see
posted
agenda for more information. This meeting will provide greater detail
with respect to Meriden's ideal plans for specific properties (i.e.
Hall Farm, Bilgers Farm, etc.).

City residents are encouraged to attend and make known their comments
relative to future land
use decisions in Meriden.

The City of Meriden is in the process of updating its POCD as required
by
Section 8-23 of the Connecticut General Statutes which requires each
municipality to adopt a POCD at least once every 10 years. The 2008
POCD
will serve as a blueprint for the physical and economic development of
the
City by recommending the most desirable use of land for residential,
commercial, industrial and other purposes.
