We have a thing on Tuesday, but do folks think they might be able to do Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday? We're getting very close on construction, so we'll need to line up a few last things before we open.

As with last time, here's a link to a Doodle survey (remember the "If Need Be" option) so we can decide:

SO EXCITED YOU GUYS!

I've responded.

That being said, I plan to be there virtually every night next week until our to-do list is complete.

John, would you like to send out an updated one?  two sections:  Darkroom, Kickstarter Rewards

on the Rewards, besides the postcards, what else are we lacking?  t-shirts? digital pics?

I'll be there pretty much every night next week (except Tuesday) as well.

Here are our to-do lists:

Darkroom (in order)

Anybody, immediately

(1) Buy/sew/hang blackout curtains
(2) Hang/place safe lights over enlarger stations
(3) Paint gallery (non-wood walls)
(4) Paint classroom
(5) Finish stripping tint off of front windows/use Goo-Be-Gone to remove glue
(6) Design/print/hang safety and directions signs (Heather has pictures of Watkins signs to use)
(7) Remove all items except for equipment that will be used from darkroom into back room storage
(8) Set up table/shelves and organize wet lab equipment (trays, tongs, paper safes, etc.)
(9) Finish cleaning enlargers, easels, trays, tongs, etc.
(10) Test/move print dryer into classroom
(11) Devise a solution for lower wall (crumbling) in classroom (spackle? plaster? baseboard? -- open to suggestions)

John/Jeff, this week/weekend

(1) Buy 1/8th inch plywood for finishing gallery wall (need to borrow a truck Saturday or Sunday)
(2) Finish installing enlarger station dividers

(3) Finish roof of film-loading room
(4) Install gallery wall + seam tape
(5) Hang timers over developing sink

Anybody, this weekend/next week

(1) Paint enlarger station dividers
(2) Clean/organize classroom (after painting) and darkroom
(3) Move film reels, loading tanks, etc. into film-loading room -- set up table/film loading room
(4) Paint darkroom platforms?
(5) Create display for front window (anybody have access to extra mannequins? I think a quirky display with t-shirts, stickers, etc. could be fun)

What am I forgetting?

Kickstarter

Brandon has done a lot of this already, but I'm not sure exactly where we are, so I'm just listing everything

Here's the link to the all-in-one spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aih0Oh9LbIZ_dE1EaWhnQkpOY3E2bTU5Z3FQdjNpNmc&usp=sharing

(1) Continue printing postcards
(2) Get mailing supplies (envelopes -- whatever's cheapest and will fit whatever is supposed to fit in there) -- if you can front the money for this, we will get you reimbursed with cash or check ASAP
(3) Print out address labels or hand-write on envelopes
(4) Sort materials and stuff envelopes
(5) Create/email PSU voucher for film conversion backers
(6) Upload digital scans to website and email all backers with a link

I'll draft up signs for the walls using Heather's photos as starting point. Eli, I'll send to you to print if that's still ok? Is a pdf file ok with you?

I had planned on handling everything for our Kickstarter rewards below once the postcards are completed.

(3) Print out address labels or hand-write on envelopes

And, I can certainly handle this:
(5) Create/email PSU voucher for film conversion backers

We are out of XL shirts, according to the last meeting. So that's something that will need to be addressed in terms of the rewards. :-)

Onward,
Heather

Update on the lights:
I've been talking with the Light Depot on covers for the 4 bulbs over the sink.  If a solution is not resolved by Friday, I will order what we need to make our current donated lights functional.  I think with all of those functioning, we'll have enough light.

Update on Curtains:
I will get these made next week.  I was originally going to do them this week but other things have cropped up.  However, next week is completed dedicated to the Darkroom ( I have already warned everyone not to expect me anywhere. ha!).

On the big dryer from Vanderbilt.  I looked up that model online last night and it sells from B&H for like over 2k.  It def needs some maintenance before it should be used.  If no one feels comfortable tackling this, I will volunteer to take it on.  I will definitely need to be partly taken a part.  I'm going to try and find a user/repair manual for it.
