Speeding on 17th Avenue

Dear East Hill residents,

 

As I hear from those of you who live on or near 17th Avenue, there continues to be great concern about the speed of traffic driving on 17th Avenue, particularly between Cervantes and Blount.

 

The best solution to the problem would be to do the sort of traffic taming that has been put in place on 12th Avenue. In order for that to happen, the strategy used for the 12th Avenue problem would be best and that is to petition the City Council. I believe there were over 100 residents who signed the 12th Avenue petition; at least that many would need to sign a similar petition for 17th Avenue.

If you all take on this project and go forward with a petition, please do update me on your progress.
