Dear Neighbors,
We apologize for the confusion — in our last email, we mistakenly listed April 27 for bus bench repainting during our Spring Community Clean-Up Day. The correct date for both park cleaning and bus bench repainting is April 19 at 8:30 a.m. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you can join us! Please see below for the corrected details. Our 2026 Spring Community Clean-Up Day is coming up later this month! We need your help to keep our cherished parks and neighborhoods beautiful. Participants can choose to do one or both of the following volunteer activities:
-
Re-painting bus stop benches: Help clean and put a fresh coat of paint on bus stop benches in District 5.
-
Parks and open space clean-up: Spruce up half of city-owned parks and open spaces in District 5.
Spring Community Clean-Up Day will be held on Sunday, April 19 at 8:30 a.m. Meet at the Montclair Recreation Center (729 Ulster Way) to grab supplies, breakfast, coffee or juice, and meet Councilwoman Sawyer! Sign up at: bit.ly/D5SpringCleanup2026.
