Sensory Friendly Family
Shabbat--August 8th
Temple Kol Emeth
invites you and your friends to a very special Shabbat service on
August 8th at 8:00 pm. Some people find it difficult to participate
in a typical Shabbat service, as it can be overwhelming to the
senses. Other people find that they are not openly welcomed to
join a service because they have a difficult time staying quiet or
can't remain still during the Rabbi's sermon. Tonight's
service is designed to allow everyone a chance to celebrate Shabbat
in a way that suits them. We strongly encourage no "shushing"
tonight as celebrating Shabbat should be a joyous event for all!
Among the things at this service: no shushing during the
service; low volume levels; soft lighting in certain areas; visual
prayer booklet; quiet room will be
available
"...as my father planted for me before I was born,
so do I plant for those who will come after me."
