Can anyone recommend a good Child Psychologist (for therapy/pyscho-ed)?

Hi all,

 

I have an 8th grader at Dodgen who will be 14 soon.  He's an "aspergers" child with anxiety and focus issues.  We have a great Child Psychiatrist (Dr. Vincent Ho) who works with us with various medications..but you know how that goes - total hit/miss and a moving target with teen hormones, etc.  He suggested we have our son see a Child Psychologist - someone he can speak with about any sort of anxiety of school social issues on his mind.  We've taken him off all medications - we just want to see who he is for now.  It can be a blur at times.  :)

 

Can anyone recommend a Child Psychologist they have personally used or heard about?  Gathering names to consider (have a couple names already).  We may do a psycho-educational evaluation as well.

Hello Jene,

I have a child with Tourette's syndrome and general anxiety disorder.  His psychologist is  Sherry Pruitt with Parkaire Consultants.  770 578-1519.  She is a miracle worker, not only for my son, but for me.  The group is well versed on aspergers, ADD, ADHD, anxiety disorders, bi-polar disorders, you name it.  I cannot imagine where we would be without Sherry.  Cannot say enough about her and her group.

I thought Sherry's degrees are in education. I had no idea she was also a psychologist That is good to know!
