Hello:
Please join us for the Professional Development Seminar which starts March 17 and runs through the 20th, in Sonoma, California.
The focus of this training will be on formal mediation. In other words, this training will focus on you supporting others in your role as a mediator, and to lesser extent as a conflict coach and facilitator.  (Focus for the December Pro Training will be reversed.)
I'm thinking of this training is a graduate seminar among practitioners of various levels of experience. John and I will come into the training with a plan and a structure. However, I imagine that the true richness and the determination of how deep we go will depend upon your contributions and your questions. I believe this will be a special learning experience. I am very much looking forward to it.
Below is John's email about this training. And below that is the flyer.
If you have any questions about whether this is the right learning experience for you, please do not hesitate to text or call me at my mobile number: 415-722-5584.
I hope to share this experience with you.
Warmly,
Ike Lasater

JOHN KINYON'S LETTER ABOUT THE PRO TRAINING

Dear West Coast 2012 Group,

I’m writing to those of you who might be interested in our new Professional Development Seminar retreat we’re doing March 17-20 in Sonoma, CA. We have decided to make it an MYL Advanced Training for people who have taken at least one immersion intensive retreat with us and are looking to deepen their ability to apply our MYL approach to helping others in some kind of formal role. It will be different from anything Ike and I have offered in the past.

We will focus on more advanced learning and practice with mediating in formal, professional contexts, and how to use the 9 mediation skills in a wide range of challenging situations. We’ll offer variations off the basic 5-step mediation model, options for those stuck moments when what you’re doing doesn’t seem to be working and you don’t know what else to try. We will share more of our own professional experience and stories from our past combined 25 years of doing this work with clients, and we’ll have in depth Q & A sessions to address the specific questions, situations, and challenges you and others are dealing with in your professional lives. You will also have a chance to connect with a learning community of peers with similar interests and goals and create a network of professional support as well as practice.

For more info and registration, go to: http://www.mediateyourlife.com/myl_professional_seminar_march2014/

Let Ike or I know if you have questions or want to talk with us about coming. We’re happy to receive your emails or set up a time to talk on the phone.

Hope to see you in March!
John and Ike

MYL Professional Development Seminar

March 17-20, 2014: Formal Mediation

Help Others Thrive in the Face of Life's Challenges

Have you heard about the Professional Development Seminar we’re doing next month? If you want to apply the Mediate Your Life approach to helping others in a formal way, then this is the seminar for you.

The March seminar will be different from anything Ike and I have offered before. For one thing, we're asking that anyone who enrolls have completed at least one of our Immersion intensives.

Why the prerequisite? Because this is an Advanced Mediate Your Life training, which means we'll hit the ground running.

From the first day, we'll dive into practice exercises designed to help you to help others in formal, professional contexts.

We'll challenge you to use the 9 mediation skills in a wide range of simulated situations.

We’ll offer advanced variations of the basic 5-step mediation model. These will include options for those "stuck" moments when nothing you try is getting results.

Ike and I will also open up about our own professional experience, sharing stories from our combined 25 years of mediation and coaching work with clients. We'll facilitate in-depth Q & A sessions to address the specific challenges you are facing in your professional lives.

Our goal is to support you. Step one toward that goal is connecting you with a empathetic learning community that also becomes a network of professional support.

Let Ike or I know if you have further questions or requests. We’re happy to receive your emails or set up a time to talk on the phone.

Hope to see you in March!
