Thank you for the update!

It seems reasonable to try & close the roads connecting to the MLK Memorial to cars & designate the outer roadways to 2-way.

This will allow for a safer connection to destinations like the playground & pavilion likely spending less money. The MLK Memorial Traffic Circle just gets too much traffic & doesn't have any sidewalks connecting to it.

The remaining funds can then be used to repair the shared-use asphalt paths. Many of them are in disrepair.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson

Hello again,

Can you please confirm receipt of my last email?
Also, it's worth reminding everyone about the planned pedestrian intersection upgrades through the Participatory Budgeting Program at York & 21st.

Maybe we can plan for connected sidewalks through the arches on each side of 21st, just like on the East side of City Park at Montview.
Otherwise, those bike lanes will often have pedestrians using them.

Lastly, I think it's important that we prioritize some form of ADA Compliant connection from the bus stop on 17th at City Park Esplanade to the MLK Memorial traffic circle.
We could do this very inexpensively just by closing that section of roadway to cars and directing traffic through the section that is currently car-free.

Councilmember Hinelds and Watson, perhaps your offices can run lead on this...

Thank you in advance!

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson
