Hello,

As you know, Colfax Avenue is under construction with the Colfax BRT project.

Unfortunately, at Denver East High School it appears as though we have omitted a key key bike connection from City Park Esplanade to the future 16th Avenue Neighborhood Bikeway.

This is especially problematic because Lime bikes and scooters are geofenced from the Denver East High School campus, but also are illegal to be ridden on sidewalks.

As someone who has attempted to ride them on Colfax Avenue, I can also assure you that drivers treat riders on bikes and scooters with hostility and contempt.

So, I personally will be riding them illegally on that sidewalk and I have observed numerous riders doing the same.

Requesting for work to stop along that stretch of Denver East High School and for the sidewalk to be identified as shared use requiring the chain link fence in the public right of way to be removed.

There's no reason not to be installing a sidewalk a minimum of 8 ft wide along that stretch.

Thank you in advance for addressing this issue.

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson
