Thank you for the update!

Can someone please clarify why we cannot close the roadways connecting to the MLK Memorial to cars?

We can then open the exterior roadways to two-way vehicle traffic with the exception of the exit at 21st.

I took these videos today helping to explain how it's possible and why it's needed.

It's important to note that the roadway is connecting to the MLK Memorial do not have sidewalks along them. This forces pedestrians to share the roadway with vehicles, and in the current plans they will simply walk in the space designated for bicycles.

By closing the central roadways to cars completely, We will also create safer two-way bike connections that maintain the same level of comfort.

Council members Hinds and Watson. I'm asking for you two in particular. Find out the answers to these questions...

Thank you in advance for helping to make City Park more enjoyable and accessible to everyone!

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson

PS: Please add east-cent...@googlegroups.com to your email distribution list for City Park.

Hello again,

Request information on what was presented at the meeting & how the issues I've repeatedly documented are going to be addressed with the future plans.

Councilmembers Hinds and Watson, I'm requesting that you coordinate a meeting with the local registered neighborhood organizations surrounding City Park to gather additional issues and concerns in the part that I may have missed.

Overall, my primary concern is that the sidewalks and bike routes are disconnected. I think we can easily address both simply by connecting the car free sections of City Park to and from the MLK Memorial traffic circle.

We can then use the remaining budget to begin repairing the dilapidated asphalt paths connecting from other roads like 18th, 22nd and Fillmore.

Please provide a way for people to submit their feedback publicly and some type of Google form or survey, or I'll create one myself.

I still don't understand why Wash Park gets treated one way, while City Park and Cheesman Park are treated another.

Thank you in advance for addressing these ongoing issues in City Park.

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson
