Hello,

I have questions & suggestions about the City Park Roadway & Loop Trail Project.

Could we please consider making more of the roadways open to 2-way car traffic, but close the central roadways to cars?
I attempted to edit the map with my suggestions.

This will effectively allow drivers a direct connection to the Zoo & Pavilion parking lots, while connecting the car-free sections of the park for bike riders & pedestrians.

Is this something that can be considered?

Also, will the asphalt paths be updated with this project, or would they be part of a different project?

Thank you in advance.

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson

Hello again,

I wanted to make sure my request was received & taken into consideration, especially with the Alex Pretti Memorial Ride that is about to begin in City Park today.

In short, I'm asking for the Car-Free Sections of City Park to be connected around the MLK Memorial.
(Rendering in prior email & link to project)

We can then designate the perimeter roads as 2-way, keeping the exit at 21st one-way.

This will keep vehicles out of the MLK Memorial Traffic Circle allowing families with children to connect to the playground without having to worry about vehicle traffic.

At the very least, please reply with information on future meetings or a way to give feedback about the design.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson

Here's another example of why we need to adjust the car free sections of City Park.

I'm specifically asking for Council member Hinds to work with the local RNOs & DPR to make this happen.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello again...

I want to call to attention that the D8 bike route is now obstructed along the south side of Ferril Lake in City Park.

Why couldn't the start/finish have been located on the opposite side of the lake?

There's plenty of room for everything to have been located here, including the additional Porta Potties for the event.

The West Traffic circle is also an issue because when the gates are closed it's impossible to ride a bike under the gates or around them.
People who may have limited mobility are then forced to hop a curb, which they might not be able to accomplish on their own.
The solution there is to simply clean out the post holes for removable ballers and utilize those instead of closing the gates.
No additional funds or materials would be required since they're already on location.

Please address this ongoing issue with Denver Parks and Rec.

Thank you.

Respectfully,
