Due to the restrooms being unnecessarily placed in the roadway, there's now snow and ice in front of them left from the plows.

Mayor Mike Johnston, could you please direct Jolon Clark to address this issue?

There is space for them to be located on flat surfaces off the roadway.

During the peak season they still should be kept off the primary loop and then placed on flat surfaces along the side streets, like 11th to the East & 9th to the West.

Thank you in advance for addressing this issue.

Respectfully,

Why does Cheesman Park seem to be treated so much different than Wash Park?

Compare how the restrooms are placed in the roadway in Cheesman Park on uneven surfaces when they are placed off the roadway in Wash Park.

What is determining the placement of these porta potties in Cheesman Park and why can't they be moved off the roadway into the available Porta potty shelters?

Hello,

I don't feel that I ever received an adequate response from anyone regarding why the Porta potties in Cheesman Park must be placed in the roadways.

Councilmember Hinds, maybe you can discuss this with CHUN at a future meeting and invite someone from Denver Parks and Rec to attend.

At minimum, I see no reason why they can't be moved off the primary roadway, which is a bike route.

That said, they absolutely should be placed on flat surfaces at the designated Porta potty shelter locations.

As someone who has used these porta potties, I can tell you that they are not easy to use, especially given the slope of the roadway the gutter.

Once this issue is discussed, I request to be CC'D on a resolution.

Thank you in advance for addressing this ongoing issue.

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson
