Hello,

Please reference the Denver Moves Bikes Update and the plans for the Colfax BRT project.

Requesting both to be updated identifying the sidewalk along Colfax Ave between York and Detroit Street as shared-use.
ColfaxBRT.org

I added the sections in question with the yellow dots.

This will not only connect riders from the Colfax BRT transit station to the Carla Madison Rec Center, but also connect riders from the Carla Madison Rec Center to the future 16th Avenue neighborhood Bikeway to the East of Denver East High School.

This would be an excellent opportunity for the Colfax BRT project to install wider sidewalk ramps to accommodate Shared-use.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson

Hello again,

Please see my email below from January 6th.

Construction along this section has begun & some of the old sidewalk has been removed.

Again, I'm requesting that this section of sidewalk be identified as "shared-use" & Installed like the multi-use paths along Broadway at I-25.

Please also note that the Lime Scooters are geofenced from being ridden on the Denver East High School campus. This means that scooters & bikes will be ridden along this section of sidewalk anyway, which connects the future 16th Street Neighborhood Bikeway to the City Park Esplanade Protected Bikelane.

Per the City of Denver Complete Streets Guidelines, this sidewalk should be a minimum of 8ft wide, but preferably wider given the anticipated bike & scooter traffic.

Thank you in advance for your help yo address this issue.

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson

Hello again,

Can we please remove the chain-link fence at Denver East High School & install a shared-use sidewalk?

This will also connect to the planned 16th Avenue Neighborhood Bikeway.

Thank you,
Bryan Wilson
