Super bowl weekend hike - Brushy Peak

Monthly hike plan on Saturday Feb 6th. This time going with Abrar's proposal of doing Brushy Peak in Livermore. More details to follow.
Can I get a show of hands of all who want to join the hike ?

I am seeing that gates at Brushy peak open at 8, so confirming with Abrar for earlier time to get in as we want to start around 6:45 from the trailhead. If that plan doesn't work we will move the hike to alternate location ( TBD ).

Faisal bhai.

Nice catch. I have not gone to Brushy peak before 8:00 AM ever, so I am not sure if we would be able to park and use the trails before that.

If the web site says 8:00 AM then that should be it. The hike is about 6 miles loop and my son and I typically cover it under 2 hours. We would still be able to finish the hike by 10:00 AM.

But if we are looking to finish early, then yes, we should look for an alternate location.

Ok then voting time

Start 8:00am Bushy Peak  - 2 hrs hike ( back to MH 10:15ish, and same for San Ramon guys )

Start 7:00am and do rockcity hike - we will be done 9:30/9:45 ( but return back by 10:30 to MH, around 10 for San Ramon guys )

I have veto powers :)

I am also leaning towards Rock City hike as nobody has objected so far. Rest of the folks plz conifirm by end of day today and I will send out the logistics/meeting point later tonight.

A bunch of us will be headed to Sunol Wilderness this Sat - 25 min drive from San Ramon. 

6 mi long Magguire peak loop is one of the best sites in this season.

Just throwing in an alternate venue if you guys are interested in joining.

Adnan, Amar, Aziz, Rehan, can you guys confirm if you want to join the Sunol Wilderness, hike start time will be around 7:00am PST On Welch Creek Road. 25/30 min drive from SanRamon/MH.

I am definitely interested.

I will be doing hike after quite some time so might as well go a bit easy. Even if we join them, we will be still walking separate, hard to keep pace with those guys.

In either case, I am ok whatever you guys decide. I would like to meet up with all of you so that is the main point.
