The team was placed in Group C along with Royal Never Give Up, G2 Esports, and 1907 Fenerbahçe Esports where they finished 4-2 in groups, both losses from RNG and advanced in the quarterfinals, There they shocked the world by sweeping heavy tournament favorites Longzhu Gaming 3-0, showing that nothing will stand in their way to get their revenge. In the semifinals, Samsung met a strong challenge from Team WE, which the Chinese team defeated them at the first game before Samsung retaliated by winning the next three matches, allowing them to advance in the finals, meeting their nemesis SK Telecom T1.
