The New York University Department of Chemistry will present a film screening on Tuesday, January 23rd that we think would be of interest to the members of your respective departments.  Thank you for advertising this event as you see fit.  An announcement flyer is attached.  Please let me know if you have any trouble opening the file.  Here is some text that can accompany the poster, if that is helpful:

 

"The Mystery of the Giant Crystals"

The NYU Department of Chemistry presents a film screening and discussion with the film's author and presenter Juan Manuel Garcia-Ruiz of the University of Granada.  Professor Garcia-Ruiz takes us on a journey to the caves of Mexico, where astonishing natural formations resemble Superman's home planet, where huge crystals dwarf the human figure.  The cinematography is stunning and the story is fascinating.  The 50-minute screening on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 will begin at 5:00 p.m. will be followed by Q&A and light refreshments.  Open to the public and free of charge.  New York University, Jurow Lecture Hall, Silver Center room 101, located at 31 Washington Place.  RSVP to julie....@nyu.edu
