Morning Tanzania Team
Congrats Janeth for completing studies and for being persistent about
EASEN.
I am in Uganda and yesterday we had a big meeting and we can say EASEN
Uganda has been born. Makerere University Business School MUBS
Entrepreneurship Centre has agreed to host the network.

My next stop will be Dar probably in August/Sept depending on a number of
factors. However, may I request the following;
i. Possibility of identifying a university that can work with you and my
experience in kenya is that private universities are easier to deal with
than public universities
ii. Identify about 10-20 Organizations that are either social enterprises,
supporting social enterprises or are interested in the same. We can then
write to them and share our model.
iii. The team in Dar to continuously search and seek to be anchored to
organizations with activities relating to social enterprises.
iv. We to identify potential contacts on Media, government, donor agencies
and Private sector
v. Using an entrepreneurship approach to set up the network is not easy but
it is the most sustainable. In this case your time, resources, contacts,
passion and competence is key. We are bringing people together around an
idea and not money and hence this is not an easy paradigm.
vi. Is Janeth the Focal point? I would like to start directing those
interested in the sector to you for follow up and direction.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Dear Carlo,

Thanks for the information and your continued commitment for the actualisation of this network here! I would readily tell you that University of Dar es Salaam can be easily accessible and brought on board since they have a direct program dealing with entrepreneurship. I can try contacting them to discuss this.

We are set to realise the whole dream coming true however much the challenges crop!

Currently Amos is the coordinator and it would be nice to channel such kind of correspondence to him!

Regards,

Mark Okello
I’ve heard more than enough well-constructed speeches from different high profile figures accompanied with nothing tangible. I take actions and nothing else, get off my way if you know you’re not a man/woman of actions before we collide at the junction of actions and politics!!
