343 please, use this art style for your next game. scrap all of the enemy redesigns, the weapon redesigns, and the vehicle redesigns, just do whatever you did for H2A. It is literally perfect. It also makes me sad that the halo 1 remake can't even touch this. I hope they redo halo 3 and ODST/Reach with these insane graphics.

But first, some of you may remember Halo Fest 2011 where, on our journey towards Requiem, we teased Halo 4 with a concept art trailer. Today, we return to Requiem once more with an anniversary video to see how that concept art was realized into a stunning new game world for the Xbox 360, accompanied by Neil Davidge's haunting score "Legacy," capturing the ethereal, mythic tragedy of the Forerunners through Claire Tchaikowsky's soul-rending vocal performance.

343 Industries, in collaboration with Saber Interactive, released Halo: CEA on November 15, 2011, the 10th anniversary of the original title's launch. The game features 7 multiplayer maps, including 6 remade competitive maps from Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo PC, and Halo 2, as well as a new Firefight map, bundled together as the Anniversary map pack DLC for Halo: Reach. The game also features support for Xbox Live multiplayer matchmaking, achievements, terminals, more easter eggs, and the ability to play Co-Op campaign over Xbox Live.[6] The game utilizes 3D technology and the Kinect Sensor.[7] The campaign runs on the Saber3d engine, whereas multiplayer is powered by a slightly modified Halo: Reach engine.[8]

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary matchmaking contains 4 different playlists; each has their own purpose. However, in August 2012, All of the anniversary playlists except Anniversary Classic and Anniversary Firefight were discontinued.

In approximately ONE YEAR, in December 2021, online services for legacy Halo Xbox 360 titles will be discontinued. Owners of these titles will still be able to play these games indefinitely, however, certain online features and experiences, particularly online matchmaking, will be limited or disabled. The Games on Demand version supports English. Created in celebration of the 10th anniversary of one of the most beloved franchises in gaming history, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is a spectacularly remastered version of the original Halo campaign. Bundled with seven of the most popular multiplayer maps in Halo history ready for Xbox LIVE, Halo: Anniversary will include a bounty of new features including cooperative play over Xbox LIVE, Achievements, new challenges, and new fiction to uncover.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (also referred to as Halo 1 Anniversary, Halo Anniversary, Halo CE Anniversary, or simply Halo CEA) is a first person shooter science fiction video game developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Game Studios for Xbox 360. However, due to theXbox One's lack of backwards compatibility, it cannot be played on its successor console. It is a remastering of the first game in the series, Halo: Combat Evolved developed for Halo's ten year anniversary.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was released on November 15, 2011, exactly ten years after Halo: Combat Evolved first came out. The game is exactly the same as Halo: Combat Evolved, even running on the exact same engine, but with a new graphics layer, which uses the graphics engine that Halo Reach used. HD visual rendering, replaced HD audio and remastered soundtracks are just some of the content that 343 added to the game to mark its anniversary. The game features 7 multiplayer maps, 6 of which are all remakes of maps found in Halo: Combat Evolved. Like Halo 3 ODST with Halo 3, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary does not have its own multiplayer, but is instead linked with Halo Reach. It also features achievements, terminals, additional easter eggs and the ability to play Co-Op over Xbox LIVE. It also utilizes 3D technology and the Kinect sensor, in a limited role.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, as the name states, is an anniversary version of Halo: Combat Evolved, and therefore is fully remastered. The game has a new layer of graphics ontop of the old (Halo Reach graphics) along with brand new audio and soundtracks. The player can also switch between the old and new graphics layers by pressing the Back button, however there will be a slightly delayed change between them, with a black screen inbetween. The switch cannot be used during cutscenes unfortunuately, but if the player switches before the cutscene, the cutscene will play according to what was chosen (Eg. Switching to new graphics beforehand will cause the cutscene to play in new graphics, and vice versa) However, this has since between rectified in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and the switch is now instantaneous.

Aside from a few other changes, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is almost entirely like its predecessor in terms of content provided. The main menu itself has also gone through a graphical upgrade. Otherwise, the game still lacks its own multiplayer, and instead has its multiplayer linked to Halo Reach's matchmaking. However, it comes with its own maps, all of them remastered from previous games, as well as a Firefight map for Halo Reach modelled after a section of the level Halo. The game also has a Waypoint connection, as well as its own extras, including a new, exclusive feature called the Library, where the player can now scan elements of the game (enemies, vehicles, weapons, etc.) and save them into an archive (the Library) and read up information on them. To do this, simply say 'scan' to the Kinect, and the feature will be activated. This feature is only present in this anniversary edition, and does not appear in Halo 2 Anniversary.

Have you gotten many of the original developers' input on the anniversary edition?

FO: We definitely talk to the other Bungie guys regularly, and we're friends with a lot of the guys, and they're not going to charge us for consultation, for one thing. We can talk to them. ...

Halo Infinite released its multiplayer mode early to coordinate with the celebration of Xbox's 20th Anniversary, and Microsoft has also released a limited Halo-edition Xbox Series X and 20th-Anniversary peripherals. Now fans are being rewarded with free Halo Infinite multiplayer cosmetics as well. It's the kickoff of a massive celebration of both Xbox and Halo, and the game is rewarding players who sign up early with some gorgeous anniversary skins.

Halo Infinite's anniversary cosmetics come in a bundle that includes coatings, emblems and a charm, and it's all free for players who log in to Halo Infinite's multiplayer beta before November 22, 2021. After logging in for the first time, the items should automatically appear among the default customization options. To find them, go to the Customization tab from Infinite's launch screen. Then go to the Armor Hall to view and equip the coatings, or to find your other unlocked Spartan gear. Players can select new emblems for their Spartans from here as well. Players can customize weapons at the Weapons Bench and vehicles at the Vehicle Bay.

Four major Halo remasters are included in The Master Chief Collection, but the Halo 2 Anniversary Edition is quite the package itself - a fitting tribute to a classic game celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. Saber Interactive returns from Halo Anniversary duties to handle the re-mastered campaign, while Certain Affinity, formed by ex-Bungie employee Max Hoberman, is tasked with remaking six of the game's multiplayer maps. On top of that, Blur Studio has recreated key cut-scenes as high-end CG renders, while 343 Industries facilitates the whole project. So what we have here is one game featuring three engines and four developers - five if you factor in Bungie's work on the original game. What could have been a disjointed mismatch of elements is anything but: the results are remarkable and the package is a significant leap over what was achieved with the original Halo's Anniversary release on Xbox 360.

The 20th anniversary of the Halo franchise will happen in a few weeks, and the occasion will be celebrated with the launch of the highly-anticipated next entry in the series, as Halo Infinite is set to release on December 8. The launch of Halo Infinite is an apt way to celebrate the Halo franchise's anniversary, but Microsoft could have more up its sleeve, especially when it comes to the larger Halo franchise as a whole.

Halo is easily the most iconic Xbox Game Studios brand, with Master Chief being the console line's equivalent to Mario. It's likely that the Halo franchise will continue to receive new entries, for as long as there are Xbox systems being produced. The 20th anniversary of the Halo franchise will take place on November 15, 2021. This also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Xbox line itself. It's clear how Microsoft plans to celebrate the occasion (at least, in part), thanks to a high-profile delay that happened in 2020.

In 2020, Halo Infinite was delayed, pushing it out of the launch window of the Xbox Series X/S. This was seen as a huge blow for Microsoft's new system, as it was launching without any exclusives, unlike the PS5, which had games like Demon's Souls. In 2021, the situation has been reversed: The Xbox line will have two big console exclusives going into the holiday season, in the form of Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite, while the PS5 has no exclusives, due to Horizon Forbidden West being pushed to 2022. As such, Microsoft is going to promote Halo Infinite as its big game of the year, while tying it to the 20th-anniversary celebrations of the series.

Outside of Halo Infinite, it's unclear how Microsoft will celebrate the anniversary of the series, seeing as all of the existing entries are available on Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft has released some special Halo artwork for the 20th anniversary, but there could be more announcements soon. One possible answer is the upcoming Halo TV series, which is set to launch on Paramount+ in early 2022. The 20th anniversary of Halo would be the perfect time to debut the first trailer for the Halo TV show, ahead of its release next year.
