Hi at all EW user’s,

I have a problem with configuration of site file for ewhtmlemail module. When it find an event localized by Hyp2000 it stop with this

 

20130207_UTC_16:13:34 ewhtmlemail: Unable to find  CAFI.HHZ.SA.ù1 on the site file

 

And this for all the stations used by hyp2000.

I think this is a problem with format of site file, but I used the same for Hyp2000 and it work very well so I don’t understand where is the problem.

Someone have an idea?

I can try to reproduce your problem. Can you send your site file and perhaps a file with an hyp2000arc message?

Hi Ruben,

I’ve attached you my site_file (calsta_prato.qa) and a tankplayer file with an event, if this one is not what you want, please explain me how to get an hyp2000arc message, because I have only hypo file with localizations.

Use the ew2file to save the ARC message to a file. It is a nice tool for persisting any EW message to a file (or ew2moledb to a DB).
Let us know if you have problems getting that working and getting an arc file.

Alternatively, you can use sniffring with the output redirected to a file.

Hi Andrea,

I was just checking your site file and noticed that it does not follow this format:

ewhtmlemail uses the site.h lib and I am not sure it can read that format appropriately.

Hi Ruben,

I just took a quick look at Andrea's file and it is a shorter version, without location codes present.

A line in his file is:

BDI SA HHZ 44 3.7200N 10 35.8200E 830

which is legitimate SCN only, and usable by hypoinverse, but a comparable line in a recent one I made is:

M48A TA BHE 41 29.0760 84 43.0260 2580.0 0.00 0.00 0.00 0.00 0.00--

Not location code for TA stations is "--". My hypo has this configured to read in the site file:

LET 5 2 3 2 2

So while his will work with hypoinverse if the LET command is used properly, the one that
should be created should be SCNL compliant so that it works with ewhtmlemail and other
SCNL compliant programs too.

Andrea: Are you using SCN only in your Earthworm? Which vintage/version of Earthworm are you using?

I'm using EW 7.6 but a lot of configuration file are quite old. Today a try to change the location code, I'll inform you on results.
