Mac OS X shared memory limits

FYI. So that I could test our EW configuration on my Mac, I edited /etc/sysctl.conf (sudo vi /etc/sysctl.conf) to increase the limits for shared memory regions:

$ cat /etc/sysctl.conf
# Increase shared memory limits to 64MB
# from http://www.spy-hill.net/~myers/help/apple/SharedMemory.html
kern.sysv.shmmax=67108864
kern.sysv.shmmin=1024
kern.sysv.shmmni=128
kern.sysv.shmseg=32
kern.sysv.shmall=16384

Aloha Larry,

How are you doing these days?  It has been awhile!

When I run startstop on my intel mac (running under High Sierra Version 10.13.6), ie.

%% startstop

I get the following output:

startstop: Using config file startstop_unix.d

ERROR: tport_create shmget (12; Cannot allocate memory) Region: 1015>

Perhaps your suggested fix above might  also fix this?
