Dear Forum,

EW Status shows Wave_ServerV process in constant "Restarting" mode.    A restart of process has resolved it but the log file shows the socket connecting and closing repeatedly:
20210827_UTC_15:30:40 wave_serverV: Connection accepted from IP address ???.???.???.26
20210827_UTC_15:30:40 Wave_serverV: Client at IP address ???.???.???.26 closed socket.
20210827_UTC_15:30:45 wave_serverV: Connection accepted from IP address ???.???.???.27

20210827_UTC_15:30:50 Wave_serverV: Client at IP address ???.???.???.26 closed socket.
and ongoing .......

This system is in our DMZ zone where do not have total control.   The IP address (blocked it out above) of the EW Instance is being translated from the public side as either .26 or .27 which may be the issue.   Wonder if others have seen this on their DMZ EW systems.

Thank You, Mark

Mark,

First, try enabling debugging output for Wave_ServerV.  Second, this could be correct behavior on the server side.  Do you have a way to debug the client side?  It is common to have Earthworm systems behind a NATing firewall/router, so I doubt the problem has to do with IP addresses.  SSH cares about reverse DNS lookups.  I doubt your client software does.  Enable as much debugging output there as you can too.
