Goodmorning to all users,

as I remember, roots of polynomial can only be:
- purely real (Pn = a+j0)
- pair of complex conjugate, real part and dual Img, specular, part (Pn = a+/-jb)

So I CAN'T find single complex pole in this way :
p1 = a
p2 = b+jc

# Complex poles:
#             i  real          imag          real_error    imag_error
B053F15-18    0 -1.426447E+03  +6.551000E+02  0.000000E+00  0.000000E+00
B053F15-18    1 -1.426447E+03  -6.551000E+02  0.000000E+00  0.000000E+00
B053F15-18    2 -5.009687E+03  +3.100000E+02  0.000000E+00  0.000000E+00

or
p1 = a
p2 = b+jc
p3 = b+jc

# Complex poles:
#             i  real          imag          real_error    imag_error
B053F15-18    0 -1.426447E+03  6.551000E+02  0.000000E+00  0.000000E+00
B053F15-18    1 -1.426447E+03  6.551000E+02  0.000000E+00  0.000000E+00
B053F15-18    2 -5.009687E+03  0.000000E+00  0.000000E+00  0.000000E+00

is this correct?
I ask this because I've found these poles in response file, I supposed wrong response file.....
Thanks.

Elberto,

I have instruments with this sort of calibration data and was trying to figure out where it is configured in Earthworm. Where is this information normally put?

Thanks.

Jonathan

To answer Jonathan's question --

This information is usually appearing in Earthworm in .sac files used by Localmag or GMEW.

I'll let someone more qualified answer Elberto's question.

Stefan
