Join Earthwise Aware (EwA) for a hands-on workshop on May 9 at 5pm at Morse-Kelley playground in Somerville to learn how to document invasive plant species using EwA’s Invasive Flora Patrol
online platform and mobile app.
Managing invasive plant species is an
important component of a healthy ecosystem and is necessary to support other green initiatives. Your contributions will help protect
urban green spaces by providing critical data on the occurrence,
abundance, coverage, and seasonal timing of invasive plants. This
information supports EwA’s biodiversity and climate studies, informing
ecological assessments and management strategies for sensitive areas.
Learning and using this protocol for documenting invasive plants is easy and fun.
