EwA Insect Connector Survey Training (Recording, Slides & Resources)

Thanks to all of you who could join our second insect survey training (#3), here focused on how to document both pollinators and their host plants in the context of EwA's Multi-site Insect Survey Program.

We loved having you with us! Here's what Claire covered (w / access to slides and recording) ā†“

Synopsis
Ā
What we cover with this training (duration: ~ one hour):
ā–  we show you the EwA site map and the transects ā–  we explain how to document both pollinators and their host plants using EwA's Nature's Notebook protocol (from the National Phenology Network) ā–  we brush on wildlife ethics pertaining to the study of insects so that we don't disturb them more than necessary

Most importantly, the presentation is a resource for our citizen scientists: click on links (in the slides) to see all the details, and don't hesitate to ask any questions in our forums.

How to Participate in our Insect Surveys

We need You! - Help us help them! EwA runs different projects for you to participate in and make a difference for our friendly urban insects!
If you are interested in conducting insect occurrence, abundance, and habitat surveys at any of EwA's site locations of your choice (see below): Join EwA (Earthwise Aware) a few times a month to survey insects. EwA particularly focuses on entomofauna (insect life), so that they can compare species occurrences and population trends between sites in the region.
