February Forest Exploration

Hello All!

Last week was EwA’s monthly Forest Exploration walk at the Fells. These walks are a great opportunity to learn about ecology at the Fells, exchange stories, and get to know other nature-lovers!

This month’s Forest Exploration shed light on the many benefits of snowpack from temperature regulation to protection from predators. In addition to exploring life beneath the snow, we examined deer and mouse tracks on its surface and discussed how both flora and fauna brave New England’s harsh winter conditions.
