Dear EwA Community, The 2024 EwA Conservation Highlights are out! Here's to a year of impact and discovery 🥂
We're excited to share our latest conservation highlights–a short document that we send to our patrons and partners to illustrate the incredible work the EwA community has accomplished this past year in advancing ecological understanding and environmental stewardship. Highlights of Our Year: Conducted comprehensive biodiversity studies in urban parks and reservations Engaged participatory scientists in critical ecological research Monitored local fauna and flora phenology Surveyed arthropod populations and their interaction with host flora Mapped biodiversity changes Recorded bird activity Certified vernal pools Documented habitat fragmentation (physical, but also including poisons that are a special kind of habitat disruption)
Our Impact Matters Through our dedicated conservation participatory science program, we've continued to: Deepen understanding of ecosystem dynamics Document the effects of land use and climate change on urban natural systms Provide crucial data for conservation management
Get Involved Want to be part of our mission? We offer multiple ways to contribute: Become a Participatory Scientist [here] Join as a Community Contributor [here] Support our public outreach and research program through donations [here]
Every contribution helps us continue our work in connecting people to natural systems through ethics, experiential learning, and rigorous scientific research. Thank you for being a vital part of the EwA community! #ParticipatoryScience #Conservation #EcologicalResearch |
