January Forest Exploration

For this month’s Forest Exploration, Claire O’Neill and EwA naturalist Tom Eid brought together ecology and geology to offer a whole new way of experiencing the Fells. We examined dikes in rocks, appreciated intricate clusters of needle ice, and explored lingering flora and fauna including conifers, hemlock and pine adelgids.
