Weekly Field & Event Schedule

🌻 Join us for another busy summer week at EwA! Our usual field schedule is on. This is a great chance to dive into phenology with EwA Pheno Lite, track insects with EwA Buggy, and conduct trail surveys with the EwA Trail Report. Whether you're gaining hands-on experience or honing your nature monitoring skills, there's no better time to get involved.

✉ Please contact the site leader to confirm your attendance for weather updates or any schedule changes.

For event details and scheduling, check our (Google) Event Calendar. We can't wait to see you in the field! 🌿🦋

📷 Banner: Massachusetts might not be the first place you'd think to find carnivorous plants, but we do have a few species. This Thursday, I recorded a Spoonleaf sundew (Drosera intermedia), in the Beech Forest right next to Provincetown. These remarkable plants thrive in nutrient-poor environments by trapping and digesting insects with sticky tentacles on their leaves. This not only provides essential nutrients to the plant but also helps regulate insect populations, making their presence a positive sign of healthy wetland habitats in the area.
