Economics Classes @ School of Philosophy, Toronto

Hello all, 

Paraic Lally and I will be running another set of Economics Classes @ the School of Philosophy starting on Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 pm. 

There will be no class on Saturday, May 4th, but classes will resume Saturday, May 11 for 7 weeks.

Here is a short summary of how the course will be structured, mainly based on John Fishers handout, attached.

> 1. Overview - The modern day need.
> 2. Definitions - wealth, factors of production etc
> 3. Laws of rent, wages, interest
> 4. Economic progress and its effects on distribution
> 5. Depressions, recessions, why and a possible remedy
> 6. Application of the remedy
> 7. Effects of the remedy
> 8. Law of human progress

No, Mark, there's no cost. People are invited to make a donation, but it's optional.

 

There are refreshments during break for a donation.
