More Cruising Results

Yesterday was the first day that we able to cruise using the course up mode.  I really like it.

 

The track line disappeared again.  I did not notice it had disappeared until about 4.5 hours into the trip.

 

This morning I have been playing with searches using Marina Life, Cruisers Net and Waterway Guides.  For Waterway Guides if I search for marinas they do not come up by distance from where I am.  I am in Belhaven, NC.  When I ask for marinas in Waterway Guides, the first one shown is Anchorage Inn & Marina 40+ NM away.  The marina I am staying at is about six pages down in the listing. 

 

In Marina Life the marinas come up by distance from my location.  However, when they are less than 1 NM they list strangely.  The first three on the list are shown as 2,906 ft, 388 ft, and 432 ft.  The Marina Life location of Belhaven Waterway Marina in incorrect.

 

Cruisers Net has everything correct.

 

On all three of them the information box on the bottom is unreadable.  It looks like there are two LAT/LONs being written to the area.

 

As a suggestion, when you list the marinas, anchorages, and bridges direction as well as distance would be useful.

Thanks for your continued feedback and we'll look into the ordering issues you've identified for WWG and Marinalife.

We hope in the future to have a 'report a problem' option in the app so that we can get direct feedback on chart/poi errors and report these back to our providers.  I'll forward your feedback to Marinalife.

Yes - it looks like we have a double display issue for the lat/lon in the 'map' tab on POI details.  We'll investigate and ad to the current bug fixes.

 

 

As a suggestion, when you list the marinas, anchorages, and bridges direction as well as distance would be useful.

 

We actually calculate headings already - we just don't expose them.  This is a good idea we should implement as it helps you know right away if something is behind or ahead of your route.

We fixed the track disappearing. The release later today shouldn't suffer from that problem anymore.

Steve and everyone,

1) The Waterway Guide places are sorted correctly in the next release (tonight) now as well.

2) We added the bearing for the Detail screens, as suggested. This was a good idea and easy to implement, since we do the same thing elsewhere.

3) The information box will also not have the doubled stats in the coming release.

We'll post the full change log, but I wanted to respond on this thread too.
