EarthNC v1.0 Golden Build

Hi everyone,

Here is v1.0 golden build - this beta is identical to what we intend to push to the Android Market. Couple final important changes:

• the app now includes Topo and Road map sources
• the app now includes a full user manual
• the splash screen and icon have been updated

As usual, this should work for everyone, but it will restrict downloads if you are new and I haven't inputted your device ID.

for land and option for that at sea would be F A B

Good day Andrew,

 

Im in Singapore, Malacca Strait Area.I only get street map but not marine sea chart,showing depths, facility to take bearings,waypoints,

track recording, tide information,it doesnt help anything for sea navigation. I have now the latest update ver 1 installed in HTC dream ver 1.6.

This is a feedback,& hope this might help you in developing the program.

The latest beta looks good. I downloaded a bunch or large maps, and
they all went fine on wifi and 3g.

The waypoints are also working well, saving and adding to main map, as
well as "guide to" functions.

I had a thought which might make the guide to waypoints easier to
use. Right now the "guide to" function is only available when in the
saved waypoints screen. What about being able to select the waypoint
when in the main map (selecting it now brings up the name text box),
then with a long-press (keep pressing on the waypoint) and that could
bring up the guide-to menu.

In general, long-press on an item brings up a context based menu for
that item in other apps.

I may have spoken to soon. I just hit a problem with a medium map
download. It's been stuck at 5740/5784 tiles for a while now. I have
paused and resumed it and it stays at that point in the download. I
also went into airplane mode and out again to force a radio re-init. I
also force closed earthNC and then resumed the download after earthNC
restarted, and again it's not making forward progress.

Do you want any debug logs? Any other info?

John I have the same iasues any map over 5000 tiles sticks at 99% or 40+- tiles short.  According to andrew the fix comes out today or tomarrow.
