Tracking on Downloaded Maps

I'm having some trouble with location tracking when using a downloaded
map.

If I click the "My Location" button it will update the location and re-
center, however it does not continue to track my location after that.
I believe the trouble only occurs when I open up a saved map, however
I admit that I haven't thoroughly researched it.

The maps that I'm loading are pretty large (6000-9000 tiles) so that
may have something to do with it.

I hope to do some more testing this afternoon after I get a
replacement phone (radio problems on my droid after some light
moisture exposure on our last boat ride).

We have a new release just about ready, which lets you get guidance to waypoints, and we'll track this down too.
