This is something that always gets brought up eventually, so I'll start
it off. I can't remember where I read this, but in Shadowrun there is
a Great Dragon named Dunkelzahn who runs for President of the UCAS and
wins and is then mysteriously assassinated on the night of his
inauguration.

This is also a series of novels that I have which is part of a trilogy.
Really good too.

1.)But Dunkelzahn first appeared in Germany, go figure based on that
name eh? Dunkelzahn as I understand it roughly translates into English
from German as Dark Tooth.
2.)Dark Tooth is the name of the Human Thief that works for
Mountainshadow, a Great Dragon in Barsaive that lairs in the Dragon
Mountains far South of Throal.
3.)Dark Tooth is reputed to be a thief of uncanny ability. In the
Shadowrun novels, Dunkelzahn teaches his protege the way of the thief
and whenever he does he appears in a human form. 4.)In lots of
stories, Dragons especially Great Dragons are able to appear in a
variety of forms, pretty much any Name Giver Race except I have never
heard of one being an obsidiman or windling ... Hmmm ...

Passions' Blessings,
