Volunteer Event Sub List Update

Hello and happy 2017!

 

It’s that time of year again to update our list of volunteer event subs. As you may know, we keep a list of people in the area that we periodically send a cry for help to when we need additional staffing at volunteer events. I am sending this email to see if you are interested in being on that list! (If you are already on the list, I will keep your name on it unless told otherwise.)

 

The way it works:

·                 Throughout the year, we look for times when we need extra help (due to large events, folks being sick etc.)

·                 We send an email out to the sub list to see who’s available

·                 Expectation is to work a full 7:30am-5:00pm day (usually Saturday)

·                 The work includes: helping set up/take down the event and leading a group of volunteers

·                 Compensation is $120 for the day

·                 We can help provide gloves, rain gear, etc. if need be

 

In Addition: We ask that anyone who wants to be an event sub will have attended at least one EarthCorps volunteer event within the past year.

·                 This could be as a corps member, as a sub, or as a regular ol’ volunteer (feel free to inquire if you’re not sure).

·                 If it’s been a while for you, consider joining the big MLK Day event at Cheasty Greenspace on Monday January 16^th (10am-2pm); we love to have alumni!
