Kia Ora mai Te Tairawhiti o te Ika a Maui o Aotearoa.
Hello from the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand.
My name is Wiremu Ruru, I am a Project Co-ordinator at Te Runanga o Turanganui a Kiwa in Gisborne, NZ. I work for a Indigenous (Māori) Non-for-Profit Charitable Organisation that strives to support the cultural aspirations and wellbeing of our respected indigenous communities within the east coast, of the north island of NZ. I am a facilitator, educator and advocate of our indigenous culture and history mainly on the east coast.
In my role, I'm able to showcase and storytell our culture and heritage through the Google Geo Tools such as Google Earth, Tour Builder, My Maps, GSuit and now New Earth Creation Tools at Local primary & high schools, early childhood education & indigenous special character schools (Kura Kaupapa/Wharekura).
I'm bless to have been recently been appointed as a Google Earth Outreach Trainer amogst 2 another awesome people from NZ and NOW I would like to extend my knowledge to complete and become a Google Certified Trainer both in Lvl 1 & 2.
I'm looking forward to working & collaborating with you all.
