Hi all, I stumbled across an awesome resource that I wanted to pass along.

If you're looking for something to listen to on your drive home tonight (or while you're doing weekend chores), I recommend checking out the Google Teacher Tribe podcast, specifically episode 101 which features Google Earth and the new creation tools!

You can stream it wherever you get podcasts, but if you visit the website there's also a great roundup of 10 activities to try with creation tools (Ditch that Textbook blog). The hosts start discussing Earth at the 10:00 mark. They discuss resources, use examples for literature, math, etc, and how to get started, and Happy listening!

Hosts: @GTeacherTribe / Kasey Bell @ShakeUpLearning and Matt Miler @jmattmiller

"Google Earth is a storytelling tool. Any way that we want to tell stories (and in every classroom we have stories to tell), we can use this tool to support that. Whether we are creating new fictional stories, retelling historical adventures, going through a timeline...there's so many ways that we can jump in...Google Earth offers us so many ways to create, across subject areas, and across grade levels" - Kasey
