Hello from Canada

Hello Everyone,

I teach Grade 5 in Calgary, Canada.

I am a member of the Galileo Education Inquiry Project, as well as an executive member and editor of GEOEC (Global, Environmental, Outdoor Education Council for Alberta). I actively mentor new teachers through Teachers Association Grants. I am a National Geographic Certified Educator and currently part of Design the Shift: ConocoPhillips Innovation Incubator (A cohort of educators that explores design thinking as an approach to leadership, teaching and learning).  I often giving professional development workshops using Canadian Geographic's indigenous giant maps and indigenous cultures atlas. 

I just finished a project about building community through arts from a grant from the city of Calgary. I am an avid traveler and will be spending the summer in Bhutan working with students and educators.
