Good afternoon all,

I have a series of latitude and longitude values in an excel spreadsheet.  I would like to create an application to run in the background that will slew to a lat/long in google earth when a new row in Excel is clicked.

I would like to write the app in visual studio, as I am familiar with the library used to interact with Excel.

On the Google Earth side the documentation seems to state that the API is only for browsers.

From that should I assume there is no way to drive the google earth application from excel?

Thank you for any assistance.

Matt

Hi Mathew,

You are correct - the API will only run in a browser.  In theory you could use winforms (for example like this library does) but there would likely be some extra work involved integrating with Excel.
