My name is Rebecca
I am currently researching my Earsman side of my family tree. I just thought i would introduce myself . My line is as follows ....

James Ersham (Earsman) (1727 - 1794)
is your 5th great grandfather
son of James Ersham (Earsman)
son of Alexander Earsman
son of John Earsman
daughter of Alexander Earsman
son of Jane Earsman
daughter of Robert Campbell Alchin
You are the daughter of Lola Christine Alchin - (not you?)

All info may not be correct as i am new to family tree research. But i am here looking forward to making new friends & learning as much as i possibly can :-)

Hi Bec, it's been a bit quiet here recently, but thanks for connecting!

Interesting that you list the first of the line as James Ersham - having been to his grave in Wamphrey-Newton, I can attest that his gravestone is marked "James Ershman". I've attached a photograph from that expedition (the "Files" section of this group disappeared with some recent Google changes).

Looks our last common ancestor was John Earsman; I'm descended from his son William and Jane Gibson.

Barry

Hi Barry and Bec

James Ershman (Earsman) is my 5th great grandfather, also.  The following is my line:

James Earsman (Ershman) (1727 - 1794)

father of Alexander Earsman

James Earsman (1761 - 1841)

son of James Earsman (Ershman)

William Earsman (1796 - 1880)

son of James Earsman

Janet Earsman (1824 - 1907)

daughter of William Earsman

Agnes Armstrong (1847 - 1899)

daughter of Janet Earsman

Isabella Earsman Cochrane Hughes (1882 - 1974)

daughter of Agnes Armstrong

James Ronald Anderson (1920 - )

son of Isabella Earsman Cochrane Hughes

Judith Margaret Anderson  Me, now Judy Harvey)

It is always interesting to look at other branches of the family.  I have added some information from your line, Bec, to my tree.  Please use my information if you want to.

Thanks for maintaining the site Barry.

Regards

Judy

Hi Barry & Judy

Barry I discovered that photo of the headstone on ancestry & have added it ;-)  Yes I misspelled Ershman lol & have since corrected it :-) Yes i wondered about the groups files ...read a few posts & was confused as to where the group files were :-/ Perhaps facebook would be a better family group connection idea. I have a Cunningham group for my fathers side of the family tree on facebook & it works well :-) Pictures etc can be added . Much easier to navigate aswell. If you are interested let me know ..I am happy to help out . If you already have a facebook page & would like to add me as a friend here is my facebook page link https://www.facebook.com/anzbex72 .

Judy ...Isn't it nice to find we are all related :-) I am so happy to find new family memebers no matter how distant . Thank you ...I will definitely add your info to my tree :-) I really appreciate you takng the time to add that info here for me :-)

Looking forward to helping & hearing from you both again soon :-)

Bec

There is a Facebook group but there isn't much interesting activity on there yet, apart from visitors remarking that they have an Earsman ancestor. The group is here:

I agree Facebook is easier to manage than Google Groups!
