it's been quiet for a while - time for an update!

It's been awfully quiet on this list for a while, so I thought I'd
ping everyone.
The hunt for space continues. :-( We thought for sure we had that
space with McMillin, but they're not as excited as we are about the
whole thing. I don't think we should write it off completely, but we
need a plan B (and maybe plan C)
I'm thinking that Plan B is to maybe find way to start without space.
Maybe a traveling show? we can hit the big bike events in town -
Midnight Madness, Velodrome, tour de poway. Or maybe get together with
the tiny bike kitchen trying to form in City Heights?
Plan C would be to find a space that we would pay for. Maybe going
back to the old furniture warehouse downtown by the police station?
It's pricey (compared to free) but maybe we can make that work?

This may be dumb as I don't know how much space is needed to get
started, but how about splitting the structure needs from the land
needs, maybe getting someone to donate use of a shipping container
(like what used to be, and maybe still is, used at the Velodrome) and
someone else to donate a place to put it, in some industrial-ish area
where it wouldn't be obtrusive, or someplace where development is
going on...then if that particular land use ever needed to be revoked,
the whole thing could be relocated to the next available spot,
hopefully at a tolerable cost.
