... She was home from work yesterday and told me to call her if I have not heard from her by the afternoon. I tried to express urgency as we would like to establish ourselves and take full advantage of the summer. I got the feeling that this is going to work out!!!

 

Once we have keys, what next? My feeling is that we find an interested student or two to put thru the earn a bike program. This would be a great help in gaining attention for Re-Bike. It would be best if the first class was just one or two kids, and maybe a good place to reach out would be to the SDCBC membership thru the message board. I am sure that right now we have more than a couple of us that could run the first class. this class would be less formal than what I see as the permanent curriculum, as we simultaneously work towards everything else that we will need to get going.

 

I can not wait till the grand opening party!!! How about you?

Good news... hopefully.
Well, when we get the keys there's also move in, prepare, organize, plug in, set up processes/security, etc.... lots of which might occur concurrent to some kids earning bikes, and helmets, and training.

Of course we would need to move in and set up. My thinking is that the
second class can wait until we are all set up and ready to go. I just
think that having a poster child is very helpful in gaining positive
attention and all of the benefits that come with that.

I mean nothing but good things when I say Poster Child
