The Coalition puts on free valet bike parking at two locations for EarthFair in Balboa Park on Sunday April 17th. We do this both to encourage people to use bicycles and to inform people about the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition. And, a bunch of other reasons too – it’s fun, people often need help with their bikes, finding routes, dealing with traffic situations, etc. etc.
You could help some by bicycling to EarthFair instead of driving a car there, some more by telling others about the bike parking service so that they might also bike to EarthFair, and you could help us a whole lot by volunteering to park some bikes and to talk to people about what you know and love about bicycling.
To be an official EarthFair Bike Parking volunteer, sign up at the EarthFair web site at http://www.earthdayweb.org/EF/EF_Vol.html .

Description: |
We encourage visitors to take alternative forms of transportation to EarthFair. To make this as easy as possible we will have free, guarded bicycle parking. The volunteers in this area are responsible for assisting visitors with checking their bicycles in and out, and for providing security. Also, they will be greeters, they will distribute EarthFair program guides and answer questions. |

IF YOU HAVE DIFFICULTY with the web sign on process or of the Bicycle Parking volunteer area is not available, PLEASE contact Kerry Kunsman, kerryk2tns.net, to find out more, to offer your service, and to schedule a best time for you.
We could really use actual bicyclists like you there to meet and encourage others to be better and more frequent bicyclists.
Thanks.
