Hi Judith,
You're stuck with me now :)
This sounds great. I know Angela as well and I'm glad they are on board. My
only thought is making sure that any liability issues with donated/rebuilt
and donated rescue bikes are addressed (release form?). Perhaps we can ask
an atty for advice. Otherwise, I think once we're good to go, the newsletter
sounds like the right avenue.

Hello Jim,
Jackie Helleis(my partner) and I have decided to rebuild and repaint
bicycles and give them to Wounded Warriors who live here in San Diego. They
will use them in the next Soldier Ride (March, 2012) I'm
sure and for their personal use as well. I spoke with the Manager of
Soldier Ride today, Angela Hemmen, and she's quite excited about our doing
this.
Since the SDCBC has a large readership, I'd like to get the word out that
we're looking for "rescue bikes" that we can strip, paint and rebuild with
new components (Jackie taught herself how to do this recently). We don't
really care what shape the bikes are in; we just want structurally sound
good frames more than anything.
Would the most appropriate method be running an ad? Or could I write an
article and have it put in your next issue? What would you recommend?
I thank you for your time because I know you're busy, busy.
Thanks much,
Judith (King)
