Spanish Translations and Resources for Translations of Core ECE Books

The first five ECE OER books to be completed were translated into Spanish through the Child Development Training Consortium. This includes Child Growth and Development, Child, Family, and Community, Introduction to Curriculum, Observation and Assessment, and the Role of Equity. Their versions are PDF and have the COC cover. Generic derivatives of these translations in both Word and PDF are provided in the Google Groups and Google Drive folders listed above. Also available in LibreTexts.

Peralta College was able to fund and share a translation of another book - Principles and Practices.

Clackamas College was able to fund and share a translation of the state regulations removed version of the Safety, Health, and Nutrition textbook.

Shirley Murrillo created instructor resources (instructor manuals, PowerPoints, test banks, discussion prompts, and activities) in Spanish for these four courses (based on the Spanish translations above). This content is licensed CC BY

LibreTexts Spanish Library

LibreTexts has a Spanish library and the Social Sciences bookshelf there has some resources that were written or professionally translated into Spanish and now they are also using software to "auto-translate" which is supposed to have 95% accuracy. So make sure you read through any books before you choose them.
