Hi, it has been a little while since your last reply. I was wondering if you have any update. Is the Dev Team taking the task? I understand if the answer is no or if you don't know. I am just asking because I am thinking of making something using off wallpaper engine but it will not work without this bug being fixed and I don't want to start a project that is not going to end up working out.

Please note that I did not create these wallpapers. This is a carefully curated collection of 150 wallpapers for Wallpaper Engine on Steam that I have put together over time, exclusively available to those who purchase the bundle on GumRoad. This collection features a diverse range of wallpapers, including landscapes and character highlights. They are appropriate for viewers of any age. After sifting through thousands of wallpapers, I have narrowed down the collection to these 150. The collection has no specific genre, but I personally favor wallpapers featuring anime, aesthetic places, and overall designs that are captivating and ideal for daydreaming.

Wallpaper Engine is a popular Windows app developed by Kristjan Skutta that allows users to set animated and interactive wallpapers on their desktops. It supports various types of wallpapers, such as videos, GIFs, 3D animations, and dynamic wallpapers. Users can also create and share their own wallpapers via the Steam Workshop.

This can be a helpful option if you're experiencing performance issues while gaming and want to make sure your system's resources are focused on the game. However, keep in mind that this option will also pause any active animated wallpapers, so you won't be able to see them until you exit the full-screen app.

Wallpaper Engine affects the RAM, depending on the complexity of your wallpaper and the settings you've chosen. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended that you allocate 2048 MB of RAM for Wallpaper Engine, since wallpapers typically require 1024 MB of RAM. This should help to improve your user experience and prevent any further issues.

Live wallpapers with many animations and effects can be gorgeous, but they come at a cost - more RAM usage. Yes, Wallpaper Engine can have an impact on your CPU usage, especially if you have a lot of animated or dynamic wallpapers running at the same time. The more complex the wallpaper, the more processing power it will require to run smoothly. The application consumes about 2% to 5% of CPU power if you're using a live wallpaper or desktop background that's animation-heavy.

To minimize the impact of Wallpaper Engine on your CPU, try reducing the number of active wallpapers or choosing less complex ones. You can also adjust the settings in Wallpaper Engine to reduce the quality or frame rates of the wallpapers. Additionally, make sure to close other resource-intensive applications while using Wallpaper Engine to free up as much processing power as possible.

Fortunately, Wallpaper Engine has its own settings that you can manipulate to reduce CPU usage and increase your FPS. Be mindful, however, that this may result in a reduction of visual fineness for your wallpapers. In view of this, follow these steps to minimize lower FPS:

In conclusion, Wallpaper Engine is a popular Windows software that allows users to set animated and interactive wallpapers. While the application uses a significant amount of RAM and CPU power when using complex images, it does not affect gaming performance when other applications or games are maximized to full screen.
